Idols Of Ash centers around a unique “reverse climbing” concept where you move downward instead of upward through a massive, decaying structure. Using a grappling hook, players swing, rappel, and control their descent across dangerous vertical environments. The gameplay is entirely physics-based, meaning momentum, timing, and positioning are critical for survival.

There is no combat system—instead, the main threat is a giant centipede-like creature constantly hunting you. Players must keep moving, react quickly to environmental hazards, and make split-second decisions to avoid being caught.
