Slendrina Must Die: The Asylum combines first-person exploration, weapon-based combat, and item collection. Search the building's rooms and narrow corridors for eight medical books while watching for Slendrina and her mother. You can use your weapons to temporarily incapacitate enemies and create an opportunity to escape, but shooting does not permanently eliminate the supernatural threats. After finding the books and leaving the building, continue searching the backyard for eight corpse hooks to complete the browser version's objectives.

Search Carefully Through Dark Corridors

The medical books are scattered throughout the abandoned asylum, encouraging you to check rooms and side passages instead of rushing forward. Keep track of the areas you have explored so you can focus on locations you may have missed. Narrow corridors also leave less room to maneuver when an enemy appears, making awareness and route planning important.

Switch Weapons When Danger Approaches

The browser version provides three weapons: a gun, an MP5, and a shotgun. You can switch between them using the mouse wheel and use your ammunition to interrupt enemy encounters. Since enemies cannot be permanently killed, avoid treating every encounter as a fight to the finish. Create enough space to escape, then continue your search.

Avoid Slendrina and Her Mother

Slendrina and her mother are the primary threats inside the asylum. Their sudden appearances can catch you off guard, particularly in small rooms where escape routes are limited. Finding all eight medical books is not the end of the browser version's mission. After escaping the asylum, you must locate eight corpse hooks in the backyard. This second objective extends the search beyond the indoor environment and requires you to stay alert while exploring the outdoor area.
