Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted is an official survival horror game developed by Steel Wool Studios and published by ScottGames in collaboration with Scott Cawthon. Originally released in 2019, the game reimagines the classic FNAF experience through immersive virtual reality gameplay while also introducing entirely new horror scenarios.
The game acts as both a collection of recreated moments from previous FNAF titles and an important continuation of the franchise’s storyline.
In Help Wanted, players test the “Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience", a VR game created by Fazbear Entertainment to repair the company’s reputation after years of disturbing rumors and incidents surrounding Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.
However, strange glitches begin appearing inside the simulation. Hidden tapes and corrupted files reveal the presence of a dangerous digital entity known as Glitchtrap, a mysterious virus connected to the dark history of the franchise.
As players progress through different mini-games and challenges, they slowly uncover:
The game becomes increasingly psychological as the boundary between the VR simulation and reality starts to blur.
Help Wanted became especially famous for its VR implementation. Instead of simply watching threats through a screen, players physically turn their heads, interact with objects, and experience animatronics standing directly beside them.
The VR gameplay intensifies:
Even familiar enemies feel much more terrifying when viewed from a first-person VR perspective.
