Dress Me Down is a short indie visual novel-style dress-up game created during a game jam, offering a brief but impactful experience. Players help Marion choose outfits for her dates through simple interactions and dialogue. With minimalist visuals and a strong focus on atmosphere, the game slowly shifts from a normal styling experience into something far more unsettling.
In Dress Me Down, players select outfits by combining tops, skirts or pants, shoes, and accessories. After finishing the look, Marion leaves for her date, and the cycle begins again. At first, the gameplay feels casual and straightforward.
As the game progresses, Marion returns and asks for new outfits repeatedly. However, her dialogue becomes increasingly concerning. She begins to express the need to change herself to please her partner, hinting at deeper issues.
The core of the game lies in its narrative. Each loop reveals more about Marion’s situation, exposing themes of manipulation and emotional harm. While gameplay remains simple, the story grows darker, turning the experience into a subtle psychological journey.
