Homicipher is a horror adventure game that combines language puzzles, exploration, dark storytelling, and romance with mysterious non-human characters. Developed by 八名木Games and released in November 2024, the game places you in an unfamiliar world where understanding its strange language is essential to survival and escape.

In Homicipher, you wake up in another world with no clear explanation of how you arrived there. The creatures around you speak an unfamiliar language, so instead of relying on traditional combat, you must observe their behavior and gradually work out what their words mean.

Decode Words Through Exploration

• Investigate objects and surroundings to discover the meanings of unfamiliar words
• Pay attention to characters' expressions, gestures, and the objects they indicate
• Build your understanding of the strange language as you progress
• Use newly learned words to interpret conversations and unlock further interactions

• Certain choices can open different routes or trigger an immediate game over
• Unlocked flags provide additional choices later in the story
• Retry scenes from before a mistake without permanent penalties
• Explore character routes and multiple possible outcomes

The game features 17 main endings, alongside numerous mid-story bad or unresolved endings, giving players plenty of reasons to revisit earlier chapters and experiment with different decisions. A full playthrough of all routes takes roughly five hours.
